How long do steel gates last?
A quality powder-coated steel gate will last 30+ years with minimal maintenance. Touch up chips as they appear and apply a light oil annually to hinges and locks.
Can I choose the design?
Yes. We will show you example styles — from classic railings to contemporary flat-bar designs — and adapt to your preference. Most clients have a clear idea; we refine the detail.
Do you automate gates?
Gate automation is available through our partner. It adds to the cost and requires a power supply near the gate, but many clients choose it for a full driveway gate installation.
Do you need planning permission for a gate?
For most residential properties, no — provided the gate does not exceed 2 metres on a boundary or 1 metre adjacent to a highway. We will flag if your situation looks like it needs a check.
