Why Trowel exists
Marcos Lee runs Wirral Garden & Property out of Port Sunlight. After years of managing routes on scraps of paper, documenting jobs with blurry WhatsApp photos, and losing an hour a week to writing Facebook posts — he built the tool he wished existed. Trowel is the result.
What it does
Enter your jobs and Trowel sorts them by postcode — nearest-neighbour routing so you're never doubling back across the peninsula.
Shoot photos before and after every job. Trowel pairs them automatically, identifies the work type, and stores a professional record of every visit.
Trowel's AI flags Japanese knotweed, Himalayan balsam, and other notifiable species automatically — with a professional treatment report you can hand to clients on the spot.
Turn a job into a quote in seconds, then let Trowel generate Good/Better/Best pricing tiers automatically. Pipeline view shows what's quoted, booked, done, and chasing.
After every job, Trowel drafts a ready-to-post Facebook, Google, and Nextdoor update from your before/after photos — plus a QR code for your Google review link to hand customers on the doorstep.
Installs as a PWA on your iPhone. Works one-handed, in sunlight, with muddy gloves — hands-free voice notes for when you can't stop to type, and today's weather forecast right there so you know before you load the van.
Homeowners send photos of their garden through your personal link and get an instant AI-assisted assessment — a warm lead in your pipeline before you've left the van. On site, walk the garden live with the customer: AI plant ID, invasive-species detection zone by zone, and a 12-month plan you can price on the spot.
The photo pipeline
Trowel pairs your before and after photos by GPS location and time. Claude AI then identifies what work was done, spots any invasive weeds, and writes a ready-to-post social update. The whole pipeline runs in the background — you just take the photos.
Simple pricing
